Here are some book suggestions that I’ve thought up so far (in no particular order):
- McTeague by Frank Norris (It is set in San Francisco at the turn of the 20th century)
- Away by Amy Bloom
- Tristessa by Jack Kerouac
- The Passion of New Eve by Angela Carter (I’m doing my Masters Thesis in Literature on this one!)
- The Almost Moon by Alice Sebold
- If on a Winter’s Night a Traveler by Italo Calvino
- Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert
- The Sparrow by Mary Doria Russell
- Any book that has been listed (short, long, or chosen) for the Man Booker Prize Award

Hi Holly,
Thanks so much for organizing this. I am looking forward to meeting everyone.
Here a few of my suggestions:
The Blood of Flowers by Amirrezvani
The Pillars of the Earth by Follette
The Thirteenth Tale by Setterfield
And of course Eat, Pray, Love would be great.
Thanks again.
Diane
